Challenge:

Effectively manage the transportation planning and traffic engineering design for the construction of new Terminal A and ConRAC parking garage

Response:

• Support planning and design of roadway frontages & pedestrian walkways for new terminal and parking garage

• Reviewed shop drawings, specifications, RFIs and other submittals to ensure compliance with MUTCD, AASHTO and PA Traffic Standards and Guidelines

• Developed design drawings and details on AutoCAD

• Communicated new road network behaviors and changes to all mapping services

• Coordinated with Resident Engineer and contractors to ensure driver & vehicular safety at all areas during construction

Impact:

• Seamless roadway transition from existing Terminals to the new Terminal A

• Ease of navigation for drivers traveling to the new Terminal and ConRAC parking garage

• All roadway changes and closures effectively reflected on mapping services

• Minimal traffic impact during construction
